AATCC Test Method 61 – Test No. 1A, Colorfastness to Laundering, Home and Commercial: Accelerated (Hand Wash)

launder-o-meterScope: Test 1A - This test is for evaluating the colorfastness of textiles that expected to withstand repeated hand laundering at low temperature. Specimens subjected to this test should show color change similar to that produced by five typical careful hand launderings at a temperature of 40 ± 3°C (105 ± 5°F).

AATCC Test Method 61 – Test No. 2A, Colorfastness to Laundering, Home and Commercial: Accelerated (Machine Wash)

launder-o-meterScope: Test 2A - This test is for evaluating the colorfastness to washing of textiles that expected to withstand repeated low temperature machine laundering in the home or in the commercial laundry. Specimens subjected to this test should show color change similar to that produced by five commercial launderings at 38 ± 3°C (100 ± 5°F) or by five home launderings at medium or warm setting in the temperature range of 38 ± 3°C (100 ± 5°F).
